Your First Visit to My Office:
Paperwork (save time and fill it out at your leisure)
If not completed before entering the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to fill out. Please don’t skip over areas you may not think is relevant, the healing process is quite an amazing and confusing thing.
Consultation and History
Before sitting down with me and discussing everything, you’ll be shown around the office to help familiarize you. Then, you will have a consultation with Dr. French to discuss your health-related challenges, concerns, as well as explain how chiropractic works.
The physical examination will include procedures such as neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests to determine what is the most likely cause for why your body is not healing or performing as well as you like.
Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to help determine how to help you more. Also, it is used to rule out more serious conditions that may be existing. Ultimately, the x-rays, consultation, physical examination and health history will provide us with what is necessary to get you well.
Next Day Treatment and Report of Findings
After we study your health history and correlate our examination findings, we’ll make recommendations designed to help you restore and keep your health. We make it a priority to teach and educate everyone. We call this the Report of Findings. This is usually attended to on your second visit, which may be later the same day or the following day. This may include spinal adjustments, exercises, stretches, and physical therapies.
Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on how to assist in their healing while at home or work. This may include cold packs or heat application instructions, postural ergonomics and nutritional healing methods.
After the investment of time needed on the first and second visits, many patients become concerned that every visit will be of equal length. Regular visits are typically less than 15 minutes long. So, you can spend your life living and not waiting at a doctors office. Time is precious to me as well.
